Walter - The Little Convert Achiever

(***Disclaimer.  If you are not familiar with the film "The Big Lebowski", this description will likely sound completely meshuga as it is brimming with inside jokes and inuendo that border on the absurd.)

This fun design is our tribute to the all-time brilliant Coen Brothers (#jews!) cult-classic, "The Big Lebowski."  Not since the biblical times of the matriarch Ruth has there been such a beloved convert as Walter Sobchak.  Even after divorcing Cynthia, he proved himself to be far from the "gold-bricking" type of proselyte and remained proud and steadfast in his faith.  He would often site past sages from Rambam to Herzl while loudly proclaiming for anyone who would listen that he was "SHOMER F*CKING SHABBOS!"  Our veteran convert hero taught a whole generation of stoners about Orthodox Judaism.  So whether he’s biting off the ears of nihilistic antisemites, saving Pomeranians from having their hair fall out or saying Kaddish for friends fallen face down in the muck, we are proud to honor this Jew, even if he occasionally slips and eats a cheeseburger from the In-and-Out.

The design itself highlights several of Walters sage quotes about his faith.  The primary quote is a snippet from a great diatribe he gives in response to when his friend accuses him of "living in the past" since he is still observant but no longer married to his Jewish ex-wife.  His response is epic,  "So what are you saying?  When you get a divorce, you turn in your library card, you get a new license, you stop being Jewish?!? ...I'm Jewish as f*ckin Tevye.  3000 years of beautiful tradition from Moses to Sandy Koufax (you're G-d damn right I'm living in the f*cking past!!)"  I mean has anyone ever put it so profoundly succinct and glorious?! 

Another quote he recites is by the father of the modern Zionist movement, Theodore Herzl, "If you will it (dude), it is no dream."  A quote powerful enough to inspire the recreation of a nation dormant for almost 2000 years, or a quote Walter would use a century later to get some unemployed delinquents psyched up for a league bowling match.  There are several other references in the design but we are trying to stick to this whole brevity thing, man.

So for the love of Walter and the rest of his tribesman, tell the haters they are out of their element and "OVER THE LINE!!!" Pour yourself a Caucasion and inform these log jammers that "this aggression will not stand, man!"  Now go grab one of these shirts (not on Shabbos of course!) like the Little Urban Achiever you are, it’ll really tie the room together!
